Sacramental Preparation and Celebration at St. Jude of the Lake Catholic Church welcomes all to faith in Jesus Christ and grace in her Sacramental life. First Sacraments
The preparation for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion are completed during second grade. Preparation includes parents guiding their children through weekly home lessons, attending Parent/Child orientations, retreats, and celebrations. Baptism
The Catholic Church welcomes all ages to the Sacrament of Baptism. Preparation includes Meeting with Frank Pavlick to understand the theology, Rite of Baptism and supporting parents in their role as first educators. Parents Pray and Play
for children ages 0 to 4 and their parents, grandparents, or special friends designed to draw parents and their children to their faith community. This program gives young families the opportunity to learn more about Jesus and start building a strong foundation of faith from the earliest years. During the time, connections are being made with others to create a greater sense of community and belonging. The group is scheduled to meet twice a month on Wednesdays from 9:30am-11:30am. OCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation of Children)
OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation of Children) is for children between ages 8 and 14 who have completed second grade and are looking to celebrate the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and First Reconciliation. Students who have been baptized and need Eucharist and First Reconciliation are also welcomed. Parents accompany the child in the process with regular meetings. Becoming Catholic – OCIA
(Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) OCIA
is the process by which adult men and women are initiated into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Baptized adults also are welcome to complete initiation sacraments. Session’s meetings are Sunday’s after 9:00am Mass starting in January.
