Get Involved & Volunteer

St. Jude of the Lake provides many opportunities outside of academics to help our children grow. In order for the school to offer these opportunities, volunteers are needed. Every event and program is a success because of the volunteers who make them happen. Please see where you can lend your time and talent.

Volunteer Requirements: The Enhanced Essential 3 (EE3)

Attention all volunteers! School leaders are required by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis to make sure that volunteers complete the EE3 requirements before they are able to volunteer.

There are three requirements for an Adult Volunteer having either regular or unsupervised interaction with children, youth, or vulnerable adults. All requirements except the initial VIRTUS training can be completed online at www.virtusonline.org.

  • Background Checks: Background checks are mandatory and required rechecks are performed every 3 years.
  • Attendance at a VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children for Adults Awareness Session Retraining of VIRTUS is required every 3 years. Retraining is completed by viewing the video online and successfully completing the quiz.
  • Codes of Conduct: Sign the most current Code of Conduct for Adult Volunteers online at www.virtusonline.org.

Please note: A modified version of the Essential 3 requirements is available for youth employees or youth volunteers who have interaction with children, other youth or vulnerable adults.

Contact the school office at 651-426-2562 with questions regarding completing these requirements.
